Xactly when ? When we had the quality of a Carrrol, convicted man/woman beater rum ead football player! we discarded him when he was cleared in an englsih court of drug charges.

Gamma, If it were me in Suarez shoes I would have done the same thing. Yes, it was despicable in the eyes of the rest of the world but... these incidents are not unprecedented. Many still will never forgive the "hand of God" goal that Maradona has no regret over, nor does he hide the fact of what he did...and even back then the existing technology, (if FIFA had allowed its use) would have disallowed that goal.
The problem for me is not with the player but with the fact that a goal line clearance that was going nowhere else but in the back of the net is not immediately awarded an automatic goal (by FIFA). These dinosaurs are keeping the game back... Blatter talking bout 1 second response for the technology, when man waste more time arguing whether this or that was a penalty reh reh. Regular slo-mo replay alone would clear up a lot of the BS that players get away with.Peter R
