Zamolek was leading the match 2-1 but behind 4-5 on aggregate. Zamolek had a goal not given by an Algerian referee that would have tied the aggregate.

Those "fans" take fanaticism to a whole different level. A friend of mine who worked for three years in Egypt has some mind-boggling stories about attending football matches in Egypt, including attending a match where an 80,000 seat stadium was crammed with 120,000 people... he said he literally feared for his life... he stood in a crowd of people (men), even though he had a numbered ticket for a designated seat but forget that, he said if he made the mistake of lifting a foot there would have been no space for him to put it back down... crazy!
