Why not Jamaica? Well, when you consider the geographic location of El Salvador and the fact that Digicel must be considering itself preparing to conquer new terriroty, then El Salvador makes much better business sense than Jamaica. Moreover, El Salvador with a population of almost 7 million people is smack in the middle of other enticing spanish speaking territories.

Digicel is aligning itself to conquer the Central American territories, which would be worth much more to them than what they achieved with the Caribbean.

Mosiah, that was purely a business decision and had nothing to do with emotions. It is a decision which anyone who puts business ffirst would make.

Just asking, and I got your answer.

On the other hand, one could argue that El Salvador ain't going no where, so what type of exposure is Digicel going to get? Despite our sad state recently, I think it would be foolishto bet against the Boyz.

They could have gone to Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua etc, etc. The fact is, htey are just poistioning themselves to launch out. Any of the four countries I just named would come before Jamaica with what they are considering.

It would be good though to have a company like Digicel sponsor the Boyz/ Is it to late for that?
