FERRARI WAITS ON SAMP CLEARANCE

Fresh Sampdoria catch Gabriel Ferrari has begun training with his new club, but must wait on some league busy work before he is registered to appear in the Blucerchiati.

Ferrari, 18, has signed with the 1991 Serie A champions through the 2010 season.

"I am waiting for some paperwork from the [USSF] to come through, so that I can be eligible to play in actual games," the former MetroStars Under-16 striker told YA. "I can train, but for now am not able to play."

"Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

Except that this kid is not an immigrant.

He was born in the USA.

Immigrants bring the football culture and instill it in there Children. Tapping them is the only way US soccer will succeed

          US Soccer is already succeeding.

Immigrant families are certainly playing their part, but this happens in many other non-sports areas of society, too. We are a nation of immigrants, after all.

And there are plenty of players from non-immigrant backgrounds who are doing more than their share of contributing.

In fact, just look at that 5-0 beatdown we gave Jamaica a few years back. All the goalscorers - Mathis, Wolff, Donovan and Beasley - are from non-immigrant backgrounds.

The non-immigrants cannot take you to the next level.

The immigrant community is your only hope.
