JAMAICAN international Omar Cummings has revealed he’s had to put his baby plans on hold to pursue his Premier League dream.

The Colorado Rapids striker, 28, was planning to go home and try to get his wife pregnant when Aston Villa came calling.
But his wife Viola will have to make do with sweet nothing rather than sweet nothings while her man is away on trial at Villa Park.

Cummings said: “I just finished the Caribbean Cup with Jamaica and I was heading back home when my agent called to say there was a possible loan deal with Villa.
“I was really looking forward to some time off but with an opportunity like Villa you don’t say no.
“One of the most important things I have had to put off is that my wife was trying to get pregnant.
“We’ve had to put that on hold for a little bit but she understands. She is very supportive.”
LA Galaxy star David Beckham returned to England from the States recently with wife Victoria expecting their fourth child.
And Cummings revealed that, for him, Beckham is the daddy of them all in more ways than one.
He said: “I’ve probably played against him three times now but it’s been great just being in the same league as him.
“For what he does, and is, he’s the best. He makes things look easy and simple.
“There’s so much to learn from him just in the way he is as a professional and the way he carries himself on and off the pitch.”
Cummings has bagged six goals in 21 appearances for Jamaica on the back of 30 goals in the MLS.
He admits just getting the chance to show what he can do at a Premier League outfit is a dream come true.
Cummings said: “I’ve watched the league for a long time so I’m very excited to be here.
“If the opportunity arose to stay longer presents itself I’d welcome it.
“It’s the league I used to watch as a kid.
“So for me all this is a dream and if I got to play in the Premier League and score goals it would be so much more.”
Cummings is on trial until March but hopes to get a crack at the big time when his match fitness and international clearance is all sorted.
Villa boss Gerard Houllier is also stepping up his bid to sign midfielder Jean Makoun from his former club Lyon for £6m.
Houllier is flying out to France to speak to Lyon about the prospects of capturing the Cameroon international.
Houllier said: “Makoun could be a good asset for us because he is experienced.
“He has played in the Champions League with Lille and Lyon.
“He is exactly what we need at times.
“He can play as a holding player or as a box-to-box midfielder.
“We are working on the deal. All I can say at the moment is that there is dialogue going on.”
Houllier also remains very interested in bringing Blackpool skipper Charlie Adam to Villa Park after making an improved £3.5m bid.Hitman’s pregnant pause
