Notts County manager Paul Ince has lamented Liverpool's latest contract offer for his son Thomas.
The promising teenager has been on loan at Meadow Lane for the past three months and capped an impressive spell with the Magpies by adding two goals to his name.
County tactician Ince wanted to keep his son at the League One club for the remainder of the season, but Liverpool told the 18-year-old attacker he could only return if he pens a new contract at Anfield.
And Ince senior feels that the Reds are selling the young prospect short with what they have put on the table.
Derisory
He said: "They are protecting their asset. He has been outstanding here - different class.
"His Liverpool contract finishes at the end of the season and they have said if he signs another contract he can come back here.
"We have had an offer which I find derisory. So he is not going to sign it and will wait until the end of the season.
"The kid loves Liverpool but it has to be right for him. I don't want to get in a slanging match with them."
