Robbie Findley to sign with Nottingham Forest

Forest confirm Findley signing

After a days of rumors and speculation, Nottingham Forest have confirmed that American forward Robbie Findley will be joining the club in early 2011 pending approval of a work permit.

Findley had previously been on trial with Premier League club Wolves before getting scooped up by Forest.

Wolves coach Mick McCarthy had suggested back on Monday that Findley had come to terms with Forest however the Championship club was quick to deny that anything had been finalized.

Findley obtains UK work permit

US international Robbie Findley successfully obtained his UK work permit after a hearing in London according to a report on Nottingham Forest website.

The US forward previously signed a contract to join the club but it was contingent on obtaining a work permit.

With that now cleared, Findley will become the newest American in England.

Nottingham did very well last season. I think they just missed promotion to the EPL (last season).

They are still on track for promotion. Findley could be the missing ingredient.
