The Jamaica Football Federation has averted a planned strike by the Reggae Boyz, who are in Martinique to defend their Digicel Caribbean Cup title.

The Boyz had threatened not to take the field for Monday's second group match against Guadeloupe, having not received the promised per diem.

JFF President Horace Burrell met with the players on Sunday night, and has agreed to their demands of US$1,200 for each player in per diem, and 80% win bonus.

Victory for the Reggae Boyz on Monday will see them advancing to the tournament semi-finals.

They won Saturday's opener against Antigua/Barbuda 3-1.

The Caribbean Cup is a qualifier for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

80% salary expense is not unusual in business but

I am not sure about salary taking 80% of income.

Example 1. If a business makes 100K gross and spends total 80K in expenses and 80% of this 80K expense (64K) is salary then that is fine because you have a 20K profit to give to your shareholders.

Example 1. If you make 100K and give 80K to salary expense then you only have 20K to spend on other expenses and for the shareholders. If the other expenses are 16K as in example 1 then its 4K that ft for the shareholders.

Time, I'm not sure what kind of business you familiar with, but 80 % of revenue going to pay some salaries (not all in our case) is actually quite high.

The $1200 US CANNOT be a per diem per player: there is absolutely no way the JFF or anyone least the JFFcould afford that, it has to be a "per tournament".. will somebody get this right!

We both saying the same thing. I basically said that salary taking 80% of total expenses is probably fine but I am questioning whether or not 80% of gross revenue is normal.
