  • Jamaica falls three places in football rankings

Jamaica have fallen three places to 82 in the latest FIFA World Football Rankings, four places below Trinidad and Tobago, whose participation in the Digicel Caribbean Cup sees them climbing 28 places to 78th.
Jamaica enters the Digicel Cup in the final round, starting later this month in Martinique.
Jamaica are 7th in CONCACAF with Trinidad and Tobago 6th behind the United States who lead the CONCACAF region at number 24, followed by Mexico ranked 28th.
The leading nine positions were unchanged as World Cup champion Spain continue to top the FIFA rankings, followed by the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Argentina at fifth.
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)
