Let me guess - he's going to coach in the MLS! Right?

Can't take a 'little series of disappointments'?

Whereever he runs it is likely his not winning trophies as often as winning trophies will tend to the not winning side...

...so are we seeing the beginning of the end of "the special one"?

Once there is a "Designated Coach" rule he'll be the first one signed Chuss Mi! - T.K.

You know I would not be surprised if he goes after a National Team coaching job in Europe. If US Soccer had any sense they would throw a $250 million contract Jose's way. - T.K.

USA - Throw money at him?

No way! This guy takes good professionals and reap successes.

USA needs someone who will set up a system to scout for talent in the by-ways &amp; backwoods corner of the USA... has an eye for talent...and, make that talent flourish in TEAM.

Wenger, Klingsman...etc. is what the USA needs.

<DIV>And you are missing one small detail, Karl. What the USA needs are TEAMS that can excite crowds by playing good football. No!

...and, I agree with you that the MLS needs coaches.

Do you remember how Taylor was not helped at MetroStars? He was...contrary to Assasin and HL...pure anti-TEAM. Running all over the place and hanging on to the ball 'lacka im girl'.

Yup! He scored 1 or 2 excellent goals...but, damn...a good talent was stifled.

Scouting for talent in the US will come once MLS is able to get their youth academies up and running. I don't think US Soccer at this point needs to worry about that.

I think the Men's national team needs a coach who won't pet nor powder and beat their a$$es in the ground. They need a coach who will grab them by the balls and make them compete on European and S. American soil and not punk out when the going gets tough.

The US are past using CONCACAF as a barometer of where they are. They need to start measuring themselves against the world's best and learn how to compete and play at that level. Mourinho is the man. Wenger would be an awesome choice as well.- T.K.

What r u talking about? Never said anything about coaches in the MLS. And what is this about Taylor? Karl, your problem is you see these players once and that's it for you. Pity the first time you saw Tappa wasn't one of his bad days!

                            MLS Coaches?

Well although many of the MLS teams have much better TEAM discipline than our NPL teams, they still need better coaches...coaches who would take that teaching of TEAM to greater heights.

                            --------

Saw Taylor quite a few times. I must have been most unfortunate to have seen him only on his bad days?!

                            --------

Tappa's bad days are waaaaay above some you think are good on those playersbest days!

                            Sorry, sir!
