Peter R is in T&T. Talk to his brother Paul Marin. Paul though is a dry weather fan. If rain set up, bet your bottom dollar that he is not going.

Here is something he could use if he wants to attend: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-Ad...-Blue/13848969

Strange but I have not heard anything about this match on even one of the radio stations or seen anything in any print media entity or heard even one peep at any of the Jamaican or West Indian stores or football events I have attended????

If there is anyone here who have heard of the match outside of this poster...please let us know?
                Thank you.

                  FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida:
WITH less than a fortnight remaining before the launch of their Digicel Caribbean Cup (DCC) title defence, Jamaica's Reggae Boyz will be doing a litmus test of sorts when they line up against Costa Rica, in a friendly international football match, at the Lockhart Stadium tomorrow, beginning at 8 p.m.

The match provides new players and others on the fringe with one last chance to impress the national coaching staff, which seeks key signals to settle on a final squad for the decisive stages of the regional football championship that will be held in Martinique from November 26 to December 5.

For assistant Reggae Boyz coach, Bradley Stewart, the matchup against the Costa Ricans, at this time, is just what the doctor prescribed.

"This is an excellent opportunity for us, just prior to Digicel (Caribbean Cup) to get a practice game that is going to demand of us much more than I would think is at the Digicel level," he said. "Costa Rica are ranked somewhere in the low 50s, so to get a practice game against a team that is going to be organised, and with quality players, then I don't know that we could get it any better than this."

Actually, the Central Americans' FIFA ranking was low 50s prior to the most recent change, which saw them slip 13 places from 53 to 66.
Jamaica's rating also moved in the wrong direction, even though they fell three spots, to 79.

As manifested by the Boyz's 1-0 win over the Ticos in a recent friendly matchup in Kingston, such statistics generally count for little on the pitch.

"The last time we played them, we won that game and I know that the players wouldn't want to lose against Costa Rica, so the players are going to be giving one hundred plus (per cent) in this game," Stewart said.

                  Training session
Following their journey from Kingston and a near 1 p.m. touchdown at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, much of that effort was unloaded into a late afternoon training session that ran for about an hour on the playing field of Holiday Inn and Suites, where the team is based.

The plays in the respective drills were not always clinical, but the high percentage output stated by Stewart was quite evident, probably ignited somewhat by the presence of a trio of United States-based invitees to training. One of those they are keen to look at, Toronto FC striker, O'Brian White, who represented Jamaica at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 levels, was never involved in the session because he was due to arrive at night. Another player, the last of the 18 summoned for the match, regular midfielder Jason Morrison, arrived from Europe briefly after the session, which was coordinated by Stewart.

Head coach Theodore Whitmore was also due last night, and will team up with Stewart to drill the Boyz later this afternoon when they go through their final routines for the game.
