Rotweiss Oberhausen was clearly outclassed today, losing 2-0 at Erzebirge Aue. Oberhausen was lucky they didn't give up more goals.
With its top scoring threats out of the lineup due to injury, Oberhausen mounted few offensive chances against the visitors. At the other end, Aue had several glorious chances, only to miss or to be stopped at the last minute by Oberhausen defenders.
Both of Aue's goals came in the second half, in the 59th minute on a penalty, and scored again 10 minutes later.
Aue, the second best defensive team in the league, moved into sole possession of third place with 20 points in 9 games. Oberhausen, who has scored only one goal in its last five matches and none in the last three, is in eighth place with 14.
