Liverpool Prepare for £95m Triple Swoop as Arsenal, Manchester City and AC Milan Prepare Star Bids

Liverpool are preparing themselves for an influx of bids for their top performers in the event that the club falls further from grace and finds itself in an unaccustomed position of having to fight a relegation battle that may ensue if the club is handed a nine point penalty for entering administration.
Arsenal are reportedly ready to reignite interest in Anfield keeper Pepe Reina, whilst Man City still harbour hopes of snaring unhappy Spaniard Fernando Torres whilst Ac Milan are eyeing up a big money move for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
The Merseyside club had looked like they were about to be saved by the New England Sporting Ventures offer for the club but co-owner Tom Hicks is refusing to budge leaving the club on the edge of a dangerous precipice as they prepare for a court case to resolve ownership issues.
Arsene Wenger had already reportedly made an offer in the region of £15m for the consistently performing Spanish international and the need for the Gunners to replace Manuel Almunia is ever more pressing after further errors from the Emirates number one. The Arsenal boss is apparently not convinced that Lukasz Fabianski is viable number one material hence a renewed attempt to snap up the 28 year old Pepe Reina.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini still has ambitions of snapping up Liverpool goal machine Fernando Torres and will push ever harder to achieve what seems an unlikely goal and hopes that the promise of the club’s potential title aspirations as well as a healthy pay rise may make the former Atletico Madrid man consider a move to Eastlands. A move that would cost the cash rich club in excess of £50m to complete.
New Ac Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is known to be a huge admirer of England man Steven Gerrard and will also attempt to lure an Anfield star to the club should things get even worse at the club. It is thought that the club may look to secure funds to make a significant bid for the 30 year old Whiston Wonder and the Serie A side may believe that after 13 seasons at the club he may consider a new challenge and if so would only leave Liverpool for a move abroad.
Roy Hodgson will hope to fight off any interest resulting into actual sales but he will know that if the club does face a nine point penalty then things could get a hell of a lot worse than they currently are. Many supporters had probably wondered if it was possible to despise Tom Hicks any more than they already did, well it seems that hatred for the American has in fact sunken to depths hitherto thought unimaginable.

A one man team ,where three players are worth 100 to a 115 million.Team as Karl likes to say is desinged and played under a coaches instruction and vision of what that should be.

Avram Grant when he inherited Chelsea made no changes to a winning team , came up 2nd and went to a C.L final , Adro Colliti made minute changes to said team and won the prem, here comes this mad man who guts a fine team and is in a relegation fight .Doesnt inspire confidence and is tactically aloof .

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Anfield twist: Tom Hicks and George Gillett dig in as John Henry arrives to clinch Kop deal

John W Henry swept into London last night to seal his £300million deal to buy Liverpool — only to be pitched into a £1billion legal battle with co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
Henry joined the English members of the club’s board at a meeting in the City to hurry through the takeover. It came after the High Court ruled that Hicks and Gillett had breached the terms of their financing with the Royal Bank of Scotland by seeking to change the board last week.
But in a peculiar twist just before 10pm, Gillett and Hicks released a statement claiming a Texas State District Court ‘has granted a temporary restraining order’ preventing the board from selling the club to Henry, with a hearing set for October 25.

They also revealed their intention to sue the three Liverpool board members, chairman Martin Broughton, chief executive Christian Purslow and commercial director Ian Ayre, the bank controlling the club’s debt and Henry’s company, New England Sports Ventures, for a total of $1.6billion (£1bn) in damages.
The duo called the attempt to sell the club to NESV an ‘epic swindle’ and a ‘grand conspiracy’ and claimed the offer was ‘hundreds of millions of dollars below true market value’.
Late last night, Liverpool put out a statement saying they feel the restraining order has no jurisdiction following their victory in the High Court.
However, it will take time to resolve the issue. The club’s lawyers will now have to go back through the High Court and the district court in Texas to prove that the order is invalid.
The restraining order was served at 8.25pm last night, five minutes before the board meeting was due to start, and was then followed by the Americans making a conference call to confirm their actions.

Delirium: Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton celebrates with fans outside the High Court

The behaviour mirrored that of last Tuesday, when Hicks and Gillett attempted to disolve the Liverpool board minutes before a crucial board meeting to discuss NESV’s proposed takeover.
After the meeting came to a close at around midnight, a Liverpool spokesman confirmed it was likely to reconvene this morning.
Earlier, it was a huge surprise when Henry, owner of NESV and the Boston Red Sox, arrived to join the gathering shortly before 8pm.
As the American walked into the offices of Liverpool’s solicitors, Slaughter and May, he was asked how he was feeling and, giving a thumbs-up, said he was ‘very confident’.

Here's Johnny: Henry jetted into London to appear at a Liverpool board meeting

Henry had not been in London for the conclusion of yesterday morning’s court case, contributing only a brief Twitter message to congratulate Broughton, Purslow and Ayre on winning the case, along with the club’s creditors RBS.
The day of drama started with High Court judge Mr Justice Floyd granting RBS an injunction to prevent Hicks and Gillett from throwing Broughton, Purslow and Ayre off the board.

The American co-owners had been expected to contribute via a conference call as the three English directors attempted to rubber-stamp an agreement reached with Henry’s NESV Group last week.
Asian businessman Peter Lim’s offer of £360m for the club now appears to be doomed
