Striker's rapid return hopes for Potters
    Stoke City, 11:19, October 1, 2010

Tony Pulis may hand Ricardo Fuller a place in Stoke's squad for Blackburn's visit despite him suffering a shoulder injury last weekend.

The Potters chief was fearful that the Jamaican international could be sidelined for a considerable amount of time when he was carried off with a dislocated shoulder in Sunday's 2-1 win at Newcastle. But, after X-rays revealed no fracture, Fuller is now in line to take his place on the bench at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Defender Andy Wilkinson has a slight knee problem but should keep his place at right-back, while Jermaine Pennant continues to struggle with the hamstring injury which forced him to miss the Newcastle clash. That leaves Dean Whitehead and Rory Delap the most likely candidates to start on the right wing.
Jon Walters is set to continue his partnership with Kenwyne Jones up front with Fuller possibly on the bench alongside Eidur Gudjohnsen. If Fuller does not feature it could pave the way for the out-of-favour Tuncay to force his way back into the squad.

I am still trying to figure out how Jon Walters can start over Fuller and Tuncay.

Simply typical Tony Pulis tactics. Walters run them hard and then him bring on Fuller. As far as Tuncay, there is some tension between the two and i think that impacts his choices with regards to him. There is no way overweight Eidur should have been in the squad over Tuncay last week, especially after Tuncay had an excellent midweek game playing out of position.

Starting Walters in this game is working well so far.
