Jones is not very good with the ball at his feet.
Again Fuller and long throw man came on and changed the game.

Jones' job is not to be great with the ball at his feet. Stoke bought him to score goals and he's been doing the business for them. He's averaging a goal a game.

Jones looks much more dangerous when Fuller is on the field and gets a lot better service when Fuller, Etherington and Pennant are on the field at the same time.Walter can't keep up with him, simply not good enough.

Time and time again Fuller shows that he is the difference in that Stoke team. Stoke was outplayed and mauled throughout the first half and Newcastle can only blame themselves for not capitalizing on their domination. Tony Pulis brought on Delap and Fuller and started playing their normal kick and run game to great effect. Fuller's movements opened up the Newcastle's defense and created space for Kenwyn Jones. The winning goal came from a foul on Fuller after he dismissed two defenders. When fit, Fuller and Kenwyn Jones need to start everytime. Jones is not a very good finisher nor is he a very good header of the ball. He wins a lot of aerial balls because he is tall and strong, but he misses more sitters than he scores. He is in the same category as Peter Crouch. For such tall players, it is assumed that they will win and convert most of those aerial balls, but they do not.

stoke don't have anyone to outlet the ball to, fullers hold up play is what eases the pressure when them win the ball

When the foul happened it looked quite innocuous. The refs whistle was slightly delayed.

Well....you know the rest of the story.

You must not have been watching much of Jones over his career in England. Take yesterday for example he had 3 headers on target. #1 came off tha post, #2 came off tha crossbar, #3 he scored. Had the other 2 gone in he wouldve scored a hattrick last night at St James Park.

Review the game vs Aston Villa two saturdays back, he caused Friedel all sorts of problems!. Not jus wit his head but he had shots on target that Friedel had to palm away for corners.

Now im not saying he's a great finisher but he certainly knows how to score goals weit his head. Remember he finished top scorer at Sunderland twice and he even outscored Djibril Cisse in 08/09 season.

It's not on target if the ball keeps hitting the woodwork.
