  • World Cup Finals U17 women in TT last night...

..with Korea vs. Japan was indeed a thriller with Korea coming out winners in sudden death shoot out after extra time and penalties. The teams were locked at 3 after regular time in what was indeed a see-saw battle. The level of skill, fitness, vision and teamwork of both these teams especially the Japanese would make any men's coach envious. If we could get some of our local and national teams to play with such conviction and determination, we'll make the next World Cup.

Pls find the replay of the game and watch. Sorry, Peter-R, you were backing a loser.

At the point of the sudden death it became 50/50. Either of these teams were deserved winners... Spain who beat N.korea in the third pkace match, is also a very good team, they play with the same steady patient build up of their senior men's team... women's foootball has certainly come a long way.... these matches were more enjoyable than matches I've seen in the last couple years.

Well, I think the reason the Japanese girls lost is because they were getting cocky.
