Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor had to be restrained by team-mates after boss Roberto Mancini accused him of faking an injury, it has been claimed.
The Togo striker is said to have gone for a scan and slapped the resultant X-ray, showing he had a muscle tear, on Mancini's desk after being told he merely had a dead leg.
The incident is alleged to have occurred before City's draw with Blackburn last week.
A Blues spokesman said: "There was a minor disagreement between Roberto Mancini and Emmanuel Adebayor last week about the timescale of his return from injury but it has been resolved."
