Whitmore was the best Jamaican attacking/creative midfielder I have seen, and he passed the torch to Williams and Hue, who in my opinion did not live up to expectations, but you couldn't question their talent and they looked good on occasion. Now coach Whitmore is trying to find the next player to fill the position he marshalled effortless for the 'Boyz. I also think that there is somewhat of a void in the central/holding midfield position.
What has happened to Keammar Daley, Akeem Priestley, Rudolph Austin, Jason Morrison, Ricardo Cousins, Jevaughn Watson, Evan Taylor and Davian Thorpe???.....And I haven't seen Swansea City's Darren Pratley get another call.
- I can't remember Stephen deRoux being called up by the 'Boyz, but he could fill the left back slot that will soon be vacated by Gardner.
I also think that you need to examine the progress and growth of promising Jamaican players making a move to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
