    Gunners Salt bad....

    Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will be out for at least another month as he recovers from an ankle injury.

    The Premier League club said Tuesday that Van Persie "will be sidelined for longer than first anticipated."

    The Netherlands forward injured his left ankle against Blackburn on Aug. 28 and Arsenal says that he "is likely to be out of action until mid-October."

    As well as missing Arsenal's first two Champions League group stage matches, Van Persie is also likely to miss the Netherlands' European Championship qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden next month.

    Van Persie missed five months last season after injuring ankle ligaments in November while on international duty.

          and more bad news..

          BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at St Jakob Park in Basle:. The only cloud was the injury to Theo Walcott, who had made a bright start. He has just been taken down the tunnel on a stretcher with his right ankle heavily strapped."

              Theo Walcott has been taken to hospital for an X-ray on an injured ankle. Fingers' crossed that one's not serious.

                  No Th14 had a problem but not with injury, with his wife.
