RE: Bora Should Stick With Local-Based Players

    (N) context...did we qualify? also it gives further proofto the lie if there are non ub40's who do not show any pride....the commitment of paul hall, simpson and burton are there for all to see.

he gave all of thoseas reason why using ub40's would not work! did it work?

<DIV></DIV><DIV>Does qualifying with UB40sserve as proofthat they were playing with national pride? Or was it personal pride? lol... leave it up to you mosiah... parvenu... love it... the nouveau parvenus and their crass attitudes are pervasive in jamaica... it is not only footballers... that said, i read the becca article few days ago and came to the same conclusion asgamma, paul marin and the others with similar views...

becca has demonstrated that he has lapses in good sense... maybe premature senility... it appears that he wrote this to stir debate, but i believe he is serious...

native jamaicans who represent does not always demonstrate nationalistic pride... thats a fact... why should the ub40s be any different... thats a non argument... a massive investment was made to get the national team to africa 2010, and only the best available talent will see that happen...

as you say mosiah it's not just ub40's who may not play for national pride but rather personal pride..if so why single them out?and is this different from any other fa where someplayers play for personal pride and others for national pride?

we qualified on the back of burton's goals so......it seems he was an intgral part of our qualification.

And don't forget the stalwart role of Robbie Earle. I guess I don't understand how we can generalize about people. I am sure there are opportunists that would play for England or now increasingly America before they would play for Jamaica. However, that doesn't mean that the players who do play for us are not wearing the jersey with pride.
