The story isn't over yet, but this could very well turn out to be the case.

It may not be over yet but so far he has failed at every single club he has joined.

        Not true.

During his season at Benfica he didn't get much playing time because he was only 18. Yet he still managed to score 5 times and had an excellent goals-per-minutes ratio. He was also a fan favorite.

However, subsequent loan moves (Monaco, Belenenses and Aris) were not successful.

If he successful why wouldn't a team like Benfica be happy to have him as a 19 year old if he was so good as 18 year old. Go on fooling yourself that Benifa one of the top teams in its league saw him as a winner and woudn't try to hold on to him.

Come on, Asinine. You know that top teams send out their promising young players on loan all the time.

If they had been unsatisfied with Adu's performances that season then they would have sold him outright.

To say that he "failed" in his stint at Benfica is dim-witted.

Look man Frddy is a RUX ...he could not be sold so he was loaned out , put on show at lesser clubs forsale , no one wanted to buy him , the end result he was released, free agent begging a contract hence the Sion Flop, back to sqaure one ....MLS.

Dim witted ? ...... Thinking and reasoning is for the educated , yuh on a brave road though ...keep it up yuh might get there , I will do my best to assist you .

Team send out their young player all the time and they don't cut them lose after the loan period if they think they are good enough, instead they keep them.

Again why would Benfica get rid of one of their best young player. It is safe to say he failed at Benfica.

Benfica cut the best player they had because they wanted to lo$$$e on thier investment by sending him on loan to be scouted , released, go on trial ,fail and then resinged by MLS for free.

It makes bizniz sense Sass...............ask almshouse bout di coke head and steriod users , specifically if MLS has supported thier rehab in anyway?
