Bristol City swoop for Nicky Hunt and Damion Stewart
Hunt (r) made 113 league starts for Bolton in his 10-year spell
Bristol City have signed full-back Nicky Hunt from Bolton and centre-half Damion Stewart from QPR.
Hunt, 26, who has signed a two-year deal, did not play a game for Bolton last term but made 22 appearances while on loan at Derby County.
Jamaican international Stewart, 29, has played 151 league games for QPR and joins on a three-year deal.
Both new recruits are expected to be in the squad for Saturday's home friendly against Blackpool.
Hunt, who is a former England Under-21 international, arrives at Ashton Gate on a free transfer while City will pay an undisclosed fee for former Rangers man Stewart.
606: DEBATE
I know a QPR fan who says he is gutted Stewart is leaving!
Red Side
Hunt says that the presence of Steve Coppell as City manager had influenced his decision to move to the west country.
"His stature and what he's done in the game is tremendous," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "So when I got the phone call and came down to meet him, I almost snatched his hand off."
Both deals are subject to Football League clearance.
