Well too many people jus think technology by itself will solve all. As you may know I work in technology and I have seen many well intended technology not used properly. I am wary. I think using to decide goaline ball is good but I am not sure what extend we go with this and if not properly implemented and with the right polices it could be a disaster.

I more or less throw out those questions because if I was on the project I would want to know what are the objectives and to what extent it was going to use, and what problems would it solve.

A system like used in tennis or cricket where the team can query say two calls especially where a card or a disputed goal are involved could be adopted. The video judge him/herself could have the liberty to overrule an onfield call.... look at Kaka's second yellow the other day; should never have been...we at home see it but the ref gets it wrong. technology IMO will solve more problems than it creates, whatever those might be.

Universality? Is every competition required to drop yellow cards going into the final? I don't belive that they carried over the yellow cards from the qualifiers and they won't carry yellow cards into final match of the 2010 World Cup. Why can't we have video replays for the World Cup Finals?

That is a nonsensical argument by those who push it and those who buy it.

I am just thinking and putting a few question out there. If it used for all offside what about very close ones?

In the case of foul as in the case of KaKa do we stop the game to overrule the play? that could slow up the game a lot. Again I wouldn't like to see an NFL where review can take two minutes or more.

First let us just get FIFA to accept that there are instances where it makes sense to use it. Thats all I am asking for right now.

Start small with the obvious things: goal line, penalty kicks, player faking injuries just to name a few. See how it works and go from there.

You can always change what not working! Nothing is carved in stone.

There is nothing wrong with rescinding a card after the whistle is there?

The problem with offsides is PARTICULARLY when a goal is scored; the scenarios are an offside goal that the refs miss, or a goal is scored and the refs call it back for offside incorrectly. Videos will help in these scenarios; other situations that don't result in a goal are not as critical.

This WC they have been showing replays instantly that show offside or not; I don't see any significant delay if any.

Like the player faking injury, it may not be better to punish them after the game based on review? I know it is annoying but once in a while it maybe real injuries such as cramp as well.

I definately support the goal line technology.

I hope they will bring some technology in but I hope they don't kill the game as we know it. We have to decide what should be reviewed and for example how long the officals can take and if the ref can overrule the reviewer etc.

Yes it may very well be better to do it after the game.

In that case you just have to make the penalty harsh enough to make them really think hard about faking it. I would say a one game suspension.

No get me wrong I-man but sometimes people just throw out things sounding good and mi have to take them to the task as it may sound all good but there maybe itches.

Yes FIFA may need to bring basic technology and go from there but I don't want the game to change and look like NFL and unnessary ads break in between. It maybe perfect for the Americans but not for us.

I would not want that either. If there is a general problem I have with US sports it is that it too drawn out sometime.

I am having a nightmare of refs and linesmen going on the sidelines to review the play on a camera.

do cricket umpires do that? why do we focus on the worst examples of the use of technology?

unnu talking bout offsides and fake injuries and the rest. let's just start with goal-line technology. das all mi ask fah! within seconds of today's disallowed English goals, someone would have told the ref it's a goal.

                              where is the problem!?!?

But them still a demote refs for bad calls in cricket.

That said I support goal line technology but what else?

The problem lies that some people think technology is the cure all.
