Shameful: the French media have blasted players, director and the coach for sullying the nation's football reputation

    Midi Libre: How shameful

"We thought we'd seen and experienced it all with Les Bleus. Unworthy, lacking in communication and the exclusion of Nicolas Anelka accused of insulting the coach. However, there was worse to come as yesterday afternoon, in front of 350 supporters and the world's media, French players refused to train. Their motive? They're opposing the exclusion of Anelka and holding the FFF responsible. This time we're really scraping the barrel.

"The blue boat is now worthless. There is no leader on board and things are out of control with speculation suggesting every effort is being made to ensure Nicolas Anelka is reinstated before the side face the hosts tomorrow.
"Shame on them. Shame on these players who have no idea about the realities of life's difficulties and who can strike at a World Cup - a global event which they qualified for thanks to Thierry Henry's cheating.
"This circus needs to stop, South Africa and the World Cup does not deserve such an insult. While the French players talk to the press about traitors, yesterday in Knysna we found 22."
Sport 365: You're bringing shame on us
Nicolas Puiravaud writes: "Day after day French football sinks further into crisis and offers a pathetic view of themselves to the world. Players, coaches, directors – they're all responsible for this regrettable fiasco. So as the press appears to be an enemy of the French team - themselves so brilliant and wonderfully healthy - we'll give a few lines to enhance our profession.
"Thank you Les Bleus for the wonderful image you have presented the world with since arriving in South Africa. Bless you for all the happiness you have provided for your fans. Why not get Anelka reinstated and go all the way – give him the armband for the South Africa match. And while we're at it prepare them for a trip to the Elysée Palace on their return home in order to collect their bonuses.
"And here for once is a really sincere thank you; thank you Laurent Blanc for accepting to take over."
Le Parisien: We're really ashamed of this French team
"Everyday the French team are pushing the boundaries of the unacceptable. Yesterday, to mark their loyalty to Nicola Anelka they went on strike. This group of spoilt children have no boundaries, no limits and no sense of duty so close to their final group game against South Africa.
Through the national team and its coach the very image of French football has been sullied in the eyes of the world.
"It's not an exemplary episode for football," Spain coach Vincente del Bosque said yesterday. Indeed it is not for the country set to host the 2016 euro's.
"The mutiny of Knysna will always be remembered as the Waterloo of French football."
L'Equipe: Blues Crisis - Altercation, resignation and rebellion on the training pitch
"Just when you thought you'd seen it all, read it all, understood it all nderstood Les Bleus spring more surprises on us.
"About 4pm on Sunday, France captain Patrice Evra and physical trainer Robert Duverne had an altercation just before training. Domenech intervened and moments later the director general of the federation, Jean-Louis Valentin, announced to reporters that he was throwing in the towel. "I'm ashamed. I'm going back to Paris. I'm ashamed for the French people - I resign," he said.
"Fifteen minutes later Domenech reads a statement from his players; "All the players from France wish to stage the absolute opposition to the FFF's decision to exclude Nicolas Anelka. To mark their opposition they will not be training today."
"There are also reports from journalists in the area that the players are boycotting all members of their backroom staff and refused to have them on the team bus.
"At 6.45pm Evra identified Duverne as a traitor to Les Bleus."
L'Equipe: Anelka is well and truly on the plane
"Nicolas Anelka has left Africa once and for all. Despite rumours suggesting that he was still on South African soil as his team-mates initiated their strike, the Blues striker was spotted at Cape Town airport boarding a flight to London."

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

The blame goes all around here! Truly a disgrace. Was it a good discision to have a lame duck coach with this squad especially when there was indication that he was not liked nor respected. Would a voice like Vierra be influential within the team. Was it a mistake to appoint Evra captain.. seems like the Frech mess this up..
