...a Nigerian plays the fool and lets this awful Greece bunch back in the game.
Nigeria down to 10 men and the game is tied 1 - 1

Have the African teams got any better, relatively speaking, in the last 10 years?

After improving up until the end of the 90s they seem to have levelled off somewhat. One or two will get to the next round, possibly one to the round of 8 but thats about it.

I wonder what the missing ingredient is for them to produce a real contender for the title.

So you can't coach that at the national level, or it too late at that stage?

Can be coached! Never too late for humans to learn!

Interesting stats on Greece at the 79 minute mark. Played first 33min against full Nigeria squad - 6 shots, 0 goal.

                    Played next 46 minutes against Nigeria's 10 - 18 shots, 2 goals.

Nigeria = despicable, mek a lowly Greece team score against them. Dis fi them players

Here I am hoping that one of the countries from the African continent would make a serious run in the WC & they're all playing the fools. Mi disappointed bad, bad!!

Nigeria deserve to go home. They should pay for thier way back home.

Before the world cup I did not think the African teams were any good. It is likely Ghana will be the only team that advances to the next round, and no team from Africa will sniff the world cup.

A Nigerian brethren say the performance of their team is a reflection of the disorganization in their country. No discipline & no structure.

if that was the truth in our case, we woulda probably play like American Samoa.
