Burrell, who is also a member of the CONCACAF Executive Committee, will play a dual role at Africa's first World Cup. Under one hat, he will continue his duties as a South Africa 2010 Ambassador, plus he will perform his critical function as a member of the five-man FIFA Disciplinary Committee headed by Swiss, Marcel Mathier.

"These are two roles that I take great honour in performing... it has been an exciting ride in executing the office of a South Africa 2010 World Cup Ambassador, which I aim to continue to do over the next month or so.
"The job of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee is expected to be a very demanding one as the FIFA has prioritised the promotion of fairlplay... I can tell you that one of the things that will attract the wrath of the committee is the act of holding onto the shirt of other players which will attract a fine of US$5,000," Burrell said yesterday.
The veteran football executive will also attend a series of meeting before the kick off between hosts South Africa and CONCACAF giant Mexico in Johannesburg.
Burrell, who is senior vice-president of the Caribbean Football Union, will attend a special meeting of the regional body on Tuesday. The day after, he will sit in as an executive member on the CONCACAF caucus meeting.
On Thursday, he will meet with the FIFA Disciplinary Committee before going into the 60th FIFA Congress to be held at the grand Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on the same day.
