Manchester United 6-1 Arsenal, 25 February 2001
Having lost his first-team place, Dwight Yorke was determined to make the most of his inclusion in the starting 11 for what was essentially the title decider of 2000/01.
Just three minutes in, Yorke pounced on a pass into the box from Beckham after Scholes, dummying, had allowed the ball to run on. Henry pulled one back on 15 minutes but within three minutes Yorke was at it again. Using his pace to beat the offside trap he ran onto a pass from Keane and sent the ball beneath the body of Seaman. He needed only four more minutes to complete his hat-trick, a quicksilver first touch allowing him to swivel onto a 40-yard ball from Beckham before tapping it past Seaman. Further strikes from Keane, Solskjaer and Sheringham finished the job and left United 16 points clear at the top.
