    PRESS RELEASE
FLOW Champions cup final: “The Lions hunts the boys”

The final of the Flow Champions Cup promises to be an exciting affair as defending champions, Boys' Town seek to retain their title in a match up against never before title winners, Humble Lion.

The semi-finals saw Humble Lion and Boys' Town winning over Arnett Gardens and St. Georges respectively. In a double- feature match at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Humble Lion triumph against St. Georges 1-0, while Boys' Town in a nail biting clash, edged Arnett 3-4 in the featured encounter.

Humble Lion, having crashed out in the first round of last season’s competition as Clarendon’s Parish Champion, came out in full force as a premier league team this season and, has been very impressive; stopping previous winners Tivoli and Waterhouse in the second and third rounds. The “Lion” will be seeking their first lien on the coveted all island knockout cup. Boys’ Town, determined to retain their title, have been relentless throughout the competition, turning back the likes of Sporting Central, Village United and Arnett Gardens.

All eyes will be on substitute Kimroy Davis, leading goal scorer for Humble Lion in this season’s knock-out on 3 goals, and Boys’ Town’s Renae Lloyd who scored a hat trick in the semi finals against Arnett Gardens. When the dust is cleared will the “Lions” be humbled by the defending champions? Or will there be an upset?

The entertainment will be thrilling with half time performances by cultural icon, I-Octane, upcoming act Versatile and the energetic flow dancers. There will be major giveaways courtesy of Flow, SportsMax and Locker Room Sports. One lucky patron will walk away with a computer from Flow and 1 month’s Flow blazing speed internet service. Winner of the half time challenge gets a Panasonic mini-audio system with I-Pods doc.

The match will be hosted by the Fluffy Diva’ herself, Ms Kitty, with musical entertainment by Renaissance Disco.

The winner of the SportsMax-managed Flow Champions Cup will walk away with $800,000, while the runners-up will pocket $400,000. The leading goalscorer and winning coach will walk away with $50,000 apiece, with $70,000 for the Flow MVP.
