DICOY WILLIAMS OFF FOR TRIAL IN NORWAY
Tuesday, March 23, 2010
HARBOUR View and Jamaica defender Dicoy Williams departed the island early yesterday for Norway where he will join the Division One outfit Mjondalen FC for a one-week trial stint.
Romel Wallen of Pro-Goals Sports Management chiselled the opportunity for the defender, who is scheduled to return to the island next Tuesday in time for Harbour View's Digicel Premier League (DPL) game against Village a day later.

Williams was invited for the stint to replace another player whose trial was discontinued at the last minute.
It has been a busy week for Harbour View in their efforts to get their players to overseas outfit. Last week, captain Lovel Palmer secured a deal with US Major League side Houston Dynamo, while their first-choice goalie Dwayne Miller went off to Sweden for trials.
Williams, 22, who stands at 6-foot-1-inch, has grown as player over his three-year tenure at the east Kingston club, starting as an Under-21 player before graduating to the senior team. He has scored three goals at U-21 and four at the DPL level, from his aerial power inside the box or through his overlapping runs.
Of seven invites to the national set-up, Williams has played four time in a senior Reggae Boyz shirt in the past year.
