CLINT DEMPSEY scored a once-in-a-lifetime goal to thrash Juventus and send Fulham through.
Dempsey capped an astonishing Cottagers' comeback by chipping over keeper Antonio Chimenti to make it 5-4 on aggregate.
Fulham came into this game 3-1 down — and looked dead and buried when David Trezeguet scored after TWO minutes.
But goals from Bobby Zamora and Zoltan Gera, as well as a red card to Italy legend Fabio Cannavaro, gave Fulham hope.
When Gera made it 4-4 with a penalty after the break the hosts were in full flow and a miracle turnaround was on the cards.
And Dempsey duly obliged by taking Dickson Etuhu's cross on 82 minutes and feathering a chip over stunned Chimenti.
Hodgson's boys were cheered on by a bumper crowd at Craven Cottage — but the home fans were silenced after just two minutes.
Hasan Salihamidzic crossed to Diego, who out-muscled Stephen Kelly and laid off for Trezeguet to score.
That goal left Fulham right behind the 8-ball.
But seven minutes later Zamora levelled to stun the Turin giants.
The former Spurs man overpowered Cannavaro to chest down Paul Konchesky's cross.
And he then finished the job by thundering past Chimenti.
If that goal gave the Old Lady a bloody nose then the next spell had them right back on the ropes.
First, Cannavaro was dismissed for hauling down Zamora when he was the last man.
Fulham then smashed the woodwork TWICE as they set up shop in the Juve half.
And Gera finally made the visitors pay when he turned home Simon Davies' cross on 39 minutes.
That left Fulham a goal behind on aggregate on the stroke of half-time.
And minutes after the restart Gera was the hero again as Fulham pulled level.
Diego handled Damien Duff's cross in the box and Gera stepped up to smash home.
With the aggregate score now locked at 4-4, Juve almost hit striaght back.
But luckily for Hodgson and his troops, Trezeguet's volley rolled tamely into Mark Schwarzer's arms.
Fulham settled back in and Dempsey forced a magnificent save from Chimenti with a 78th-minute header.
Gera also tested the stopper as the Cottagers went on the hunt for the winner.
And that holy grail soon came.
Dempsey picked up Etuhu's ball on the edge of the box and beat Chimenti with an unbelievable chip.
Jonathan Zebina was sent off for kicking out at Duff in injury time but by that stage the result was almost set in stone.
And Fulham successfully booked their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals.
