This comes from a local league, apparently in Germany.

Kicking into a stiff wind, a goal kick was popped up and blown back into the goal.

You can hear the wind whipping on the camera microphone, and you can also see the corner flag on the far side of the field being whipped by the wind.

from my knowledge of the game, that should not have counted as a goal. the ball is not in play until it has crossed (and touched!) outside the penalty area. it looks to me that the ball bounced in the penalty area and when that happened, the kick should have been retaken because the play was never actually restarted.

better yet, and we have had this question on the forum before, a corner kick should have been awarded.

Law 16 says "A goal may be scored directly from a
goal kick, but only against the opposing team."

What if the play was not a goal kick, but a free kick given for hand ball, offsides, or a foul?
