JC mourns passing of Patrick Virtue
    Tuesday, February 16, 2010

THE Jamaica College family and in particular the school's sporting fraternity is deeply saddened by the recent passing of one of its true stalwarts, Patrick Virtue.

Patrick Virtue, a Jamaica College Old Boy, passed away last Thursday after suffering a heart attack. He served his alma mater in many capacities, mainly as football coach at the junior level, and member of the management team for the football squads, as well as the track and field teams.

His unselfish and passionate support for and service to the Manning Cup teams is legendary. He leaves to mourn wife Valerie and sons Andre, Darren and Duane.

Andre played football at JC at all levels for several years during which he was an integral part of the school's successes, he also represented Harbour View FC, Waterhouse FC and the national team. He also had a stint at Dutch Club, PSV Eindhoven.

Brother Darren played for Campion, JC and Tivoli Gardens FC, while the other sibling Duane represented the school at basketball.

Funeral service will be at the St Andrew Parish Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday.

    This is a shocker!
Never knew he had heart problems?

To his family and friends, accept sympathy.

        Don,

I know the name Virtue but I did not recall a Patrick. What was his graduation year (o'level)?

RIP and condolences to the family.
