    on the second goal..the goalie shold have hustled back to his line or to the ball...he dallied around too much after he missed the ball.

        he had no where going. he basically had to just stand a watch the proceedings.

        on the first goal, i think his line of sight was blocked by the defender, so he spotted the ball late.

        all in all, i day he would rather forget.

          The first goal was a save I think he should have made. On the other hand he made a couple of saves that were much harder than the goals given up. I have to believe he is better than that.

            the first goal seem to skid after it bounced and therefore came to him quicker than he would have expected.

              I saw him make some good saves. The first goal was tough..can't blame him for that. A better goalkeeper might have or might not. The second is all on him

                ...and there is no reason I can think of why he could not become that better 'keeper!

                a) It must surely be within his range to improve beyond what he showed us;

                b) Hard work and a willingness to 'coldly' assess past performances and correct faults, has it rewards;

                c) He must desire to make himself a million times better! ...hey a professional contract outside of JA must be the goal...so no ego trip business!

                  true! this after being surprised because his defender was blocking the path of the ball.

                    Argentina's didn't look to hot on Jamaica's goal, either.

                    In fact, those highlights make it look like the whole game was a night of goalkeeping "don'ts".
                    "Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

                      thanks for posting the link. Well we could all argue that the goalkeeping was poor. What we cant argue he needs lots of work. poor technique on the punch.. unawareness to go back and guard his line. Poor on crosses.
