John Terry's affair with Wayne's girl

CHELSEA star John Terry was today exposed as a love cheat who had an affair with an England team-mate's girlfriend after a High Court gagging order was lifted.

The married England captain, who has three-year-old twins with wife Toni, had a secret affair with Wayne Bridge's then partner Vanessa Perroncel.

The media was previously prevented from reporting details of the affair after Terry's lawyers were granted a "super injunction" at the High Court in London last Friday, claiming exposing his infidelity would breach his right to a "private and family life".
But today Mr Justice Tugendhat dramatically lifted the order allowing the media to report the story.
Terry, 29, married Toni at plush Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire in June 2007. Bridge and Vanessa were said to have attended the ceremony.
Earlier this month The Sun reported that £170,000-a-week footballer Terry had put his £6.5million Surrey mansion up for sale because he wanted to move to the country and "change his lifestyle".

Bridge, 29, and French underwear model and actress Vanessa had their first child Jaydon in November 2006.
They are reported to have split at Christmas.
The left-back signed for Chelsea in July 2003, but he lost his place in the team to Ashley Cole and moved to Manchester City for £10m in January last year.
When Bridge left Chelsea for Man City, close pal Terry said: "He'll be missed ... it's a shame to see one of the lads go who you have grown up with and been with for a long time. I'm disappointed, but for him it was the right decision.
"We understand he's been here and tried to become a first-team regular but with him and Ashley [Cole] being the two best left backs around, it was difficult for him to break through and get as many games as he would have liked.
"I think he felt at 28 he needed to play week in, week out, and he will get that at Man City and show people he is right up there with Ash.
"Once Bridgey starts playing, people will realise how good he is."
Bridge is expected to be named in England's World Cup squad.
Team manager Fabio Capello will now face pressure to strip Terry of his captaincy following the revelations.

THE clamour for John Terry to be sacked as England skipper was growing last night.

And the signs are that manager Fabio Capello may have to make the big decision - unless Terry resigns.
The FA are already split on whether Terry should go, after revelations he had an affair with the partner of former Chelsea pal and England team-mate Wayne Bridge.
It is the latest in a number of indiscretions by Terry and some on the FA board are calling for his head.
Chief executive Ian Watmore believes the decision should be left to Capello and that FA suits should not interfere.
But Watmore knows the huge weight of public opinion against Terry's behaviour could force the issue.
Team-mates are known to be angry with Terry, which will seriously affect the dressing room atmosphere when England meet up for their next game, the Wembley friendly against Egypt on March 3.
It could be Terry is asked to resign rather than force Capello into making the decision for him.
A Chelsea spokesman said: "The club will give John and his family all the support they need in dealing with this."
In a poll of 2,000 supporters, 87 per cent called for Terry to be axed as captain.

He will be sacked, no doubt about it. Sacked or resign is the only solution.

JOHN TERRY SCORES AWAY FROM HOME

Ancelotti's astonishing defence of his skipper

                </IMG> TERRY: Scorer against Burnley

                By Neil Ashton, 30/01/2010
CARLO ANCELOTTI leapt to an astonishing defence of Chelsea love-rat John Terry, insisting: "He has IMPROVED the image of the club not damaged it."

England captain John Terry scored the winning goal to clinch a 2-1 win at Burnley - on the day the scandal broke of his affair with former team-mate Wayne Bridge's girlfriend.

Terry's 82nd-minute header sent the Blues four points clear at the top of the Premier League.

But he did not even smile as he was congratulated by his delirious team-mates.

And earlier, as he left the Blues' hotel in Accrington for last night's match, he refused to talk about the story that he cheated on wife Toni with French underwear model Vanessa Perroncel.

The news has caused a huge split both within the England dressing room and the one at Stamford Bridge.

But Blues boss Ancelotti claimed Terry "is an amazing professional."

It was an incredible comment in light of the fall-out from the scandal. Yet Ancelotti was unmoved.

The Italian boss said: "John not only has the support of the players but also everyone in the management and the supporters.

"I will never lose the trust in him and neither will my players.

"John is an amazing professional and he has improved the image of the club, not damaged it. At the moment he is in a fantastic moment. I never had any doubts about playing him.

"As far as the England captaincy is concerned, I am not the manager of the England team.

"But there have been no discussions at the club about the captaincy of Chelsea - he is the leader.

"He is a fantastic captain and a fantastic player.

"He plays well for us in every game and he has proved that with another important performance tonight. It is his private life that is in issue but it is not an issue for work. Everyone at Chelsea supports him and his family."

Chelsea assistant first-team coach Ray Wilkins insisted there had been no doubts about allowing Terry to play.

"He's a fantastic professional, as far as the footballing side of his life is concerned," said Wilkins.

"He's done wonderfully well for us."

However, Terry had to run the gauntlet of hate on the pitch as Burnley fans crucified him with taunts of "Same old Terry, always cheating!"

That had to hurt, to really stick in the craw at a time when his credentials to captain England are being scrutinised to unparalleled levels.

He was also booed mercilessly by Clarets supporters when his name was announced at the start of the game.

There was more to come, the price Terry pays for being caught at it a little too close to home for the comfort of England coach Fabio Capello.

He was full of aggression, pumped up and preparing to negotiate the trickiest period of his professional career.

But he could not prevent Burnley's equaliser - he was too busy tending to Robbie Blake when Steven Fletcher tricked his way beyond Alex to score in the 49th minute and cancel out Nicolas Anelka's first-half opener.

It was a slip up, but no more than a blip for this Chelsea team as they close in on their first title since 2006.

And then Terry answered the fans' jibes by scoring with a bullet header.

Chelsea's supporters were backing him, raising the roof with chants of "There's only one England captain."

Some on the terraces were as young as 10, following dad's throaty roars of approval with their own show of misguided support.

In their eyes he can do no wrong, idolised and lionised in equal measure. When will they learn?

Wayne Bridge, meanwhile, has released a statement about Terry's affair with his girlfriend Perroncel.

The England team-mates are due to meet twice in the space of four days. City visit the Blues in the Premier League on February 27 - and then England will play Egypt in a pre-World Cup friendly at Wembley on March 3.

Both Terry and Bridge refused to talk about the scandal yesterday.
