I think Brad Friedel should come out of (national team retirement) and be the # 2 keeper for MY TEAM.

In fact, i would have no problem in having him as #1 and Tim Howard as back-up.

He could start for almost any National team in the world. very good keeper.

This is definitely the only area of football where the USA can say they are as good as any one else in producing high quality individuals.

They won the CONCACAF WC qualifications with one game in hand!!

They have qualified for the last 6 World Cups...

They have players in lots of the recognized professional leagues on the planet.

Your not telling me anything I do not know already.

That still doesn't change that goalkeeper is the only position where they consistently produce world class players. In the other positions, there are only a couple players who would even be considered for the top national teams in the world. I do not use CONCACAF as the standard to judge football.
