An opportunity to learn more about several U.S. players on the bubble for a place in the World Cup squad was squandered Saturday night in a 3-1 loss to Honduras. The cause appeared lost once a 17th-minute red card was awarded to central defender Jimmy Conrad, which sent the team scrambling to assert itself and control the damage.
"I'm disappointed we found ourselves a man down after [17] minutes," said Conrad. "Honduras had a good game and they executed and took advantage of their opportunities."
