  • Freddy Adu to Arnett Grardens

    Adu Tweets for the Junglist

By JEFFREY MARCUSSoccer players are now scooping the voracious media that cover them. While January is traditionally the time of rampant speculation in tabloids and on Web sites about which player will move where, a couple of American forwards are tweeting themselves to the forefront of the transfer market speculation.
Freddy Adu, who was released early from his loan at Portuguese side Belenenses, has said for weeks on Twitter that he has a big decision to make. “I have a pretty good idea what i want to do because its about playing time and my development,” he tweeted on Jan. 3.
Adu, who is contracted to Benfica, is looking for a new place to play where he can actually, you know, play and improve his chances to make the U.S. World Cup squad for South Africa.
Helping make Adu’s case is Jamaican Club owner of Arnett Gardens Patrick Roberts , a prolific producer of dancehall artiste , who is lobbying ADU to join him at Arnett Gardens in Kingston Jamaica.

Is Arnett FC really interested reports also cite Greek side Aris Thessalonic, which signed American forward Eddie Johnson on loan from Fulham over the weekend.
But all of the online reports, including this one, source Adu’s Twitter feed or other reports, sourced to twitter.com/FreddyAdu11.
“Arnett or Aris. Man decisions,” Adu is to have tweeted. But that comment no longer appears on Adu’s Twitter feed. The latest tweet, as of this posting, reads: “Ill have something for you guys soon. Took alot of thinking and getting advice from numerous people.” (News of the World in Britain reported on Saturday that Arnett Manager George Phang was interested in Adu.)
Perhaps one of those people advising Adu suggested he not name the clubs he is considering. Maybe Altidore, who found himself in trouble with his manager in October, told his friend to mind his tweets.
Altidore was fined and relegated to the stands for a game against Portsmouth on Oct. 24 after arriving late to the stadium. He apologized via Twitter, enraging the manager, Brown.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Well maybe Portmore can take him on then?
