      FIFA clears Warner

      ZURICH, Switzerland (Reuters)

FIFA's executive committee has expressed disapproval at the conduct of vice-president Jack Warner following the alleged resale of World Cup tickets, but said it would not pursue any further disciplinary action.

"The committee expressed its disapproval ... drawing attention to the fact that Mr. Warner should be more cautious and prudent," FIFA president Sepp Blatter told a news conference at the organisation's Swiss headquarters yesterday.

"That is all there is to say in relation to this affair and we now consider the case closed."

Blatter said the executive committee had made its decision after hearing a report from FIFA's disciplinary committee.

Disciplinary committee chairman Marcel Mathier told the news conference that there was "no concrete evidence" that Warner knew about the resale of World Cup tickets by his son Daryan Warner through Jack Warner's former travel company Simpaul.

Warner, who is president of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean football associations (CONCACAF), had denied any wrongdoing.

FIFA opened its investigation into Warner's activities in September, following allegations that he had personally profited from the resale of 180 World Cup tickets, contrary to FIFA's own ticketing rules.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

FIFA should not be allowed to rule on this...should have sent it to the World body in Switzerland for a proper arbitration....

But time longer than rope SepTIC Blatter cant afford to alienate the 31 votes form CONCACAF
