A player-plus-cash deal could be on the cards as QPR brace themselves for a flurry of transfer bids for 15-year-old wonderkid Raheem Sterling.
According to a report in the People, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is even tempted to include striker Jay Simpson, 21, in a £1million swap deal.
Simpson has struggled to establish himself in the first-team line-up at the Emirates Stadium, and is well behind Robin van Persie, Eduardo da Silva, Andrey Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner, Carlos Vela and Theo Walcott in the pecking order.
He has been farmed out on loan to QPR, where he has built-up a formidable goals-to-games ratio, returning eight strikes in 15 league appearances.
Sterling has attracted intense interest from a plethora of Premier League sides, including Fulham and Manchester City.
But Arsenal's youth director Liam Brady has reportedly already met with Sterling over a possible winter window
