The accomplishments of Ronaldo & Messi for their national teams are not comparable to Ronaldinho, and Zidane would have been a good choice. In this decade Zidane won UEFA Euro 2000 and the 2002 UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid, and France was the runner up at the 2006 World Cup.
