I have always believed that the clubs in Jamaica need to do more with regards to the development of our players. To put the ball solely at the feet of the JFF is not only unfair but impractical. The clubs need to get qualified and accomplished coaches guiding our players(The JFF can do a lot nore with regards to this getting done). They need to be more aggressive in their desire to get quality venues not only for playing but for accomodating patrons. For too many years we have had an idea of what needs to be done to set the game on a solid foundation but have been dragging our feet. -
As long as we continue to approach football in an amateur manner; this will be the end result. Schoolboy football cannot go up against the club youth teams around the world.
Brasil told us point blank that all their stars were created (meaning they were mentored and coached from youth) hence it's no accident when they achieve certain results.
