I did not want this post to get buried in the one about Ricketts not winning the GK of the Year award in the MLS but at times I wonder how we here choose MVPs and Coach of the year awards.
Not too long ago the Premier league chose some named Adrian Reid as MVP...how many posters here other than Lion Paw can recognise this player anywhere except with his name on his shirt front?
Who says the coach of the teams that wins is the best coach...some teams are so stacked with talent that if the coach does NOt win, they should be fired.
One year Wadadah got off to a slow start but went unbeaten over the last 11 games - the entire third round to finish above the relegation zone...that to me was top drawer coaching and the coach then should have been named the coach of the year.
