you ask why the talent(football) is located be between Kingston and St.Catherine.

I hope you still following the DPL. The talent is not only in that region but as you know it takes a plan, hard work and good management.

Assasin, I would really appreciate if you find out exactly what I said or asked. Too many of us are extremely careless with the TRUTH and the FACTS. (Mawning, Lazie! 'Ting good?)

And don't get beyond yourself, right now, Sass. St. Georges of Portland is leading the NPL. I remember not too long ago when Seba was in that position. Where are they now?

What exactly were you asking me recently then?

This is what I am responding too.

"about local football, the U13 and U15 islandwide parish competitions are now at the semfinal stage. The four semfinalists in both age groups are Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine and Clarendon.

Does the best football happen to reside in that general area, from Kingston to May Pen?

How come St. James did so poorly? Why, of the 14 parishes, do we end up with four of the same parishes for the competition? And is it any coincidence that these parishes basically account for 80% of the NPL teams?"

                    This was my response

"there is no consistence in youth program especially in the eastern parishes. Maybe the only team structure is St.Georges. There is no primary school competition, no all age school competition and only dcup and high school under 16. In Kingston you have youth competition and prep school etc. Most of the parishes have nothing and a little man in a community might have something now and then but there is no development whatsoever at in these parishes. Drive from St.Ann to St.Thomas and tell me how many youth teams you see at any time of the year.

There have been a little spot here and there but it usually a one man a try a thing and as soon as that person leave it all disappear."

First - do you see the difference between what was actually asked and what you thought I had asked? Good!

The point I was making is, I don't believe football talent lies only in the May Pen to Harbour View corridor. (Your recent post mek it seem like I was saying the opposite!) But, certainly, there must be a reason why teams from that region dominated the recent parish competition.

Your answer may well be a good one. Bruce helped us out with this information re the no. of teams in each parish - Clarendon FA - 46 teams, KSAFA 43, St. Catherine 31, St. James 31, St. Ann 25, St. Thomas 23, Trelawny 20, St. Elizabeth 13, Manchester 9, Hanover 3.

Hanover has 3 teams?!? Is Ruseas one of them?!?

No info on Portland, but they must be doing something right as, no matter where St. Georges end up this season, they have managed to remain in the NPL since their promotion and they are doing very well right now.

                        Sorry I omitted Portland.

According to www.jfdb.info, which was my source for the other parishes, Portland has 13 teams: Anchovy, Black Rock, Breast Works, Eagle Strikers, Fellowship, Machioneal, Norwich, Progressive, Rio United, Snow Hill, St. Georges, Taurus, and Ujama.

The three teams listed for Hanover are Bamboo, Central, and Sandy Bay.

                              got milk?(R)

Does Jamaica have any plastic surgeons? Perhaps they could sponsor the team.

Just imagine if the team had a mascot.
