  • Wenger praises attacking threat

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised his team's attacking ability after they thrashed Blackburn 6-2.
The Gunners were rampant at the Emirates Stadium, despite going behind twice, and six different players were on the scoresheet in an emphatic win.
Thomas Vermaelen scored their first with a great shot from outside the penalty area before Robin van Persie smashed the second with a powerful left-foot effort.
Andrey Arshavin then found the back of the net before man of the match Cesc Fabregas and substitutes Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner completed the rout.
And Wenger said he was pleased at how dangerous his side looked in the final third.
"We looked always dangerous going forward and I must say they were dangerous as well but you could see that our fluency finally took over and our pace of passing and our quality made a big difference today," he said.
"If you look at the number of goals we have scored since the beginning of the season it is quite impressive and I believe that is a very good basis.
"This team have a great belief and it looks like they are becoming stronger and stronger."
Wenger's side face Birmingham City in their next Premier League match after the international break and will be brimming with confidence after putting six past Sam Allardyce's Rovers.
