Lazie, from the start of the season I said this is Chelsea's title to lose. I just came back from the disappointing loss, but we didn't deserve to win, even though the game gave us our chances. Both Yossi and Torres should have scored. Still, Chelski played better and I suspect they will win the title.
They have old boys...tooooo! ...and some of these old boys will become tired!

Hey! The season is young! ...very young!
Karl, your team has much to be optimistic about, but while I agree the season is very young, you can see who is showing intent and who isn't. Liverpool does not have the midfield required, Arsenal has to take their regular league form and beat the rest of the top 6 (I'm disappointed as you are with the two manchester losses) and manur is proving to be resilient as always. It is only Chelsea (so far) that is showing serious intent. Their games against the scum and the derby against arsenal will be the test. Their team is very organised, don't fool yourself, Arsenal will have a hard time breaking them down.

Chelsea's title to lose? Last I checked the Empire was the defending champion. Every season Arsenal fans claim its their season, so whats new? Afterall morning come before evening, Sunday comes before Monday .....

Paul, is there any reason Benayoun is on the bench and coming on so late? He created chances that weren't there before and looks like he should be starting. What's Benitez thinking?

Have to agree with you here. Benitez made a mistake starting Riera ahead of Benayoun. Benayoun looked very dangerous when he came on and actually caused Ivanovic alot of problems.
he didn't give rooney a yellow, why kid gloves for rooney he's no longer a kid
What did Rooney do? I tuned in as the 2nd half was starting, so maybe I missed his offense.

Lazie, whether you want to admit it or not, your team is not playing like champions, and truth be known, were it not for the madness of Alan Wiley (who your manager should have been praising God for on Sunday) you would have dropped 3 points Saturday. Unlike your team, Chelsea however, is playing like champions, and are doing so without refereeing blunders or favours if you will. Only time will tell if they can sustain it until May.

Benitez is worried that Lucas Lieva will go to the press and reveal some dark secret about him wearing womens underwear or some such thing!! I have no f-ing idea what is in Benitez head. He continues to confound me. He should have started the team that he ended the game with. He waited for a 1-0 scoreline before he showed intent, which is what is so frustrating.
The good thing about seeing the game in person was that you could see the entire field. Gerrard and Torres were STARVED for service for most of the game. Had Gerrard been placed in the midfield beside Masch with Torres and Benayoun infront of him with Riera/Babel and Kuyt on the wings, we would have had a much better chance.
With Gerrard and Torres up front, Masch became the playmaker, and while he is good defensively - him ain't no XABI! Cho. Vex me.
I can only hope that Aquilani is fit by the time Manure come to town, but Benitez might do some madness and bench Masch instead of Lucas!! If him keep playing the only skill-less Brazilian in the world, we have to rename the club to Lievapool.

Didn't I indicate in a previous post thatwe did nothing to get a point from the game? I'm sorry what madness did Alan Wiley exhibit that you're talking about now? This should be interesting.
