<SPAN class=news_body>We understand he has signed a three month contract and is set to stay up until November 15, the date of the friendly international against Peru at the National Stadium.
Brown’s tenure will also include two other friendlies against Canada, an away match on September 4 and a home match on October 8.
The JFF is expected to name a head coach shortly after Brown's tenure.
Brown, who was head coach for three years since 2001, had his first success as National Coach when he won the Caribbean Tournament in 1991.
Three years later he was joined by the Brazilian Rene Simoes and the two men took Jamaica on a historic run as they qualified for the 1998 World Cup in France.
Simoes could return as technical Director of Jamaica’s football in January.
Simoes, in an exclusive interview with RJR Sports, had expressed a desire to return.</SPAN></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)
