NEW YORK, USA- Jamaica retained their Digicel Caribbean Cup New York title on Sunday after beating a spirited St Vincent and the Grenadines team 4-2 on penalty kicks in the final played at the Jefferson High School in Brooklyn.

The teams had played to a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes and the organisers opted to go straight to penalties on a very cool night.
This was the Jamaicans' fifth straight win and sixth hold on the trophy, while St Vincent have also won the title five times.
Jamaica coach Arthur Jeffreymikes was relieved after the final kick. "This was a hard game and I am glad we won."
He said he knew it would be close, and while they had practised taking penalty kicks in training last week, he hoped it would not have come down to that.
The game started over 30 minutes late despite the cancellation of the consolation game between St Lucia and Grenada after the latter failed
to show.
Grenada's no-show might have been a result of their semi-final game against Jamaica a week earlier being blown off and awarded to Jamaica.
The Grenadians protested a second goal from Damian Williams to give Jamaica a 2-1 lead and as a result refused to continue and the game was called off.
On Sunday, St Vincent, who had beaten St Lucia 5-0 in the semi-final, created the first chance when Andrew Douglas' close range effort was saved by goalkeeper Maurice Evans who had an outstanding game in the Jamaican goal.
Jamaica's first chance came in the 13th minute when Irvino English's half volley from the left hit the far upright.
Jamaica had another chance when Brian Wollaston's point blank header was saved off the line in the 24th minute after goalkeeper Marcus Williams was beaten by a corner from Jermaine Hue.
St Vincent created another chance in the 29th minute when the dangerous Grayson Alexander got the better of Damion Powell, but his shot was saved by Evans.
The chances were few and far between in the second half, but English came close in the 65th minute when his header was saved by Williams.
Alexander had St Vincent's best chance in the 83rd minute but missed by inches.
Alexander's bad luck carried over in the shoot-out when he sent the first spot kicks wide.
Jamaica scored their first four kick while Evans saved one.
Scoring for Jamaica were Ryan Reid, English, Allan Maragh and Desmond Breakenridge, while Rayvon Jack and Chris Myers scored for St Vincent.
