Uefa has handed Arsenal striker Eduardo a two-match ban for "for deceiving the referee" in the UEFA Champions League.
The charge follows a penalty won by Eduardo during the Gunners' 3-1 Champions League second-leg play-off victory over Celtic last week.
Eduardo has come in for heavy criticism since the incident after claims that he conned referee Manuel Gonzalez.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has since strongly stated that Eduardo should not be banned for the alleged dive.
The French coach has three working days to appeal against the decision.
Should the ban stand, Eduardo will miss Arsenal's Champions League group matches away at Standard Liege and the home match with Olympiacos.

Darn it...yes it was an alleged dive...but it's the ref ( and his 2 assistants) job to catch it.

I think it's a bad idea to use replay to punish a player expost facto --in a game that requires almost instant management decision making.

The US has solved this decision making for Sport Officials long long ago. Football had better get with the program.
