Great result but i can't say i'm happy in the way we won. We sure did experiment in this game when we shouldn't have.
Fletcher had an OUTSTANDING game and i got a great snapshot on my phone of Wenger in the dugout with his arms raised as if to say "Why you send me off and not zee Fletcher!"

I don't think either team played at their best. Arsenals is a passing game and too often their moves were easy to read or broke down. United's counter attacking was let down becase we didn't have enough quick people. Nani and Valencia re not clever enough yet to support Rooney. United were lucky, but really it was Arsenal's stupidity that allowed United back into the game. And in the last 10 mins when they should have been prsssing, United's counter came into effect and they could have have three or four. Fletcher, Nani and Berbatov all missed sitters. United have to get their act together soon or they'll be in trouble. Arsenal still have to grow up a bit ... AND STOP CHEATING!!!

Whatever team Arsenal put out, they will try to play a free flowing style of football. This is the way Wenger manages the team. We all know that on their day, Arsenal can play any team off the park and score a load of goals ( a la Everton). The fact is that any team plays at their best a handful of times a season, and the problem for Arsenal is when things don't go their way and they need to grind and mentally fight for results. This has always been their weakness, and whilst it's still early in the season, will they be able to overcome that weakness this year? I still think they lack these mentally hard players from previous seasons (the famous Arsenal back 4, the likes of Viera, Parlour, Wright, Bergkamp etc), players who could tough it out and were leaders. Ultimately, I don't think Arsenal can last the pace of a long tough campaign, but have enough class in their team to ensure a top 4. If anything, they probably stand a better chance of success in the Champions League rather than the EPL. Utd are in a different position - Fergie instills such belief in his players that they perform better than the individual some of their parts, and will therefore be challenging up until the very end. I do think that we are missing maybe one or two top class players that can sometimes produce that bit of magic to unlock games, but you know the team will give their all and fight to the bitter end. We are nowhere near getting into our stride but managing to pick up wins and can only improve as the season progresses. Chelsea look good, probably favourites, especially as they haven't lost any key squad memebers, but the season is young so we'll have to see how things pan out. As for Liverpool, they are having to cope with the added pressure and expectation due to last season's improved finish. Although they sort of got into a challenging position last year, they were more depending on Utd slipping up in the final games, but they are finding out how difficult it is to maintain a challenge season after season, and the next few games are vital for them.
Finally, this 'we deserved to win' nonsense - football is about scoring more goals than the other team, if you can't do that, you don't deserve to win. Arsenal played the better football, but it's all about putting your chances away - end of story.
