RENOWN sport goods manufacturers Nike, in association with their local distributor Locker Room Sports, today announced a new $2.3 million sponsorship for St Catherine-based football club Portmore United during a press launch at Locker Room’s Mall Plaza branch yesterday.
Nike are now in their second season as sponsors with Portmore.
Last season Meadhaven and Reno were also a part of the package, but the latter two have been relegated from the league, allowing the sporting goods giants to concentrate their efforts on Portmore.
The sponsorship will cover the team’s home and away gear kit, plus training gear, match and training gear for staff members, directors shirts, travel, equiptment and gym bags, sweat suits, rain jackets, training balls, shin-guards, caps and casual wear.
